Mounting Requirements

The POL-E GOLD tank will rest on a main tank body support structure. This structure will consist of a cradle of 3" channels (toe down) or double 2"x 2" square tubing running full width cross chassis located every 24" to 30" apart carefully, to miss sump and overflow areas.

At each of the 4 corners, a cradle to locate and secure the tank will be built of 1/4" steel flat 6" x 6" x 4" high and welded to the main body structure.

At all points of tank contact, with the structure and cradles, the tank will be lined with 10,000 lb nylon webbing or 1/4" thick hard rubber.

The tank is held down by any of several methods:

Plumbing connection requirements
Tank to pump and large diameter dump valve lines will be connected with rubber hump hose such as manufactured by Huntington Rubber Company, Portland, or phone 503-246-5411.

Tank fill lines to be connected with high pressure aeroquip style hose and required routing and clamping.

External tank fills, dump valves (right pipe mounted), etc. to have a minimum of 1" larger diameter hole than outside diameter of pipe run through the body panel. Extended square or round dump valve discharges or suction and discharge valves will be mounted with support to protect from use as steps by firefighters.

These detail requirements are necessary to maintain the warranty and to keep it valid. Unapproved methods may void warranty.
